How do I test?
London Food Intolerance Testing offers a personal, face-to-face service using a non-invasive electrodermal screening device. The test is painless, requires no needles, and does not involve ingesting or touching any foods or drinks.
During the session, you will hold a metal cylinder in the dominant hand while food and drink samples are placed within the machine’s electromagnetic circuit. Using a gentle stimulation point on your hand, the machine detects how your body responds. Items that do not agree with you produce an abnormal reading, indicating a potential intolerance.
What do i test?
Testing covers more than 200 food and drink components across all major food groups, including dairy, grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, oils, meats, fish, alcohols, and additives. The selection of items tested is tailored to individual dietary habits and current symptoms.
Who can be tested?
Adults and children aged 4 and over can be tested.
Unfortunately, if an adult has a pacemaker fitted, they cannot be tested. Please contact your doctor about alternative solutions.
How long will the test take?
First appointment
For an adult a first appointment will take around one and a half hours to complete. For a child, it will take around 75 minutes. This time includes:
Discussion of your overall health and reasons for wanting the test
Testing what you eat and drink
The results
Advice on eliminating problem foods and substitutes you can have instead
Retest
A food intolerance follow up test can be undertaken from 6 months after your initial test. Here we will look to retest foods you’ve previously had a problem with, or to check issues with new foods that you think have developed, as well as ensuring the food or product elimination is on track and working to your benefit. A retest will take between 45-60 minutes to complete.
